Too bad for you, you are FUCKED. Not possible, no, it's not. Atleast if you want to make your design without tables for all browsers. IE is fucked up - FUCKED. No need to say that I'm not an IE fan (get Firefox!).

Anyway.. There's a workaround for it...

Insane extra fee for DVD-R and CD-R

After July 1st 2005 we will get an extra fee on all DVD-R and CD-R here in Sweden.
For a regular DVD-R/CD-R it will be 0.25 öre per MB and for -RW it will be 0.4 öre per MB. This might not sound like a whole lot, but for a regular DVD-R (4.7GB) that extra fee will be almost 12 SEK. I bought 25 DVD-R's for around 200 SEK a few months ago, but after July 1st I would have to pay almost 500 SEK for 25 DVD-R's.

I guess I have to start importing DVD-R's and CD-R's from Denmark and/or Finland. I'm probably not the only one who will stop buying empty media in Sweden after that.

Today the EU council ignored Denmark's, Poland's, Portugal's and others request to stop software patents from being passed through the EU council. It also ignored the EP and its own rules.

Time to start looking for another country outside the EU to move to..
This is a sad day in our history and just shows how EU doesn't work.

... and that have now been proved.
And I'm not talking about the mathematical formula seen on /. not long ago.
My HDD crashed sunday night, just 6 (or so) hours before I was going to move all data to another HDD and make fresh backups with my new backup station. So I lost everything that once was in my /home.
I tried to restore some of the most important stuff still on my old tapes, like my PGP key and ~1GB pictures. However, all I could get from the tape was 0 byte files. So I can probably forget about getting my PGP key back again. I also lost around 200 hours of work.

Why I lost my 490-days of uptime

I have now found the problem, why my machine died after 490 days. The IDE chipset is about to give up on the machine, so I have now removed the HDD from the machine where my /home was and my MySQL databases.
These are now served by another machine, my workstation, which is online 24/7 anyway. So I might aswell use it for something other then checking mail etc.

The only thing left to move is the CVS server.

Didn't remember Windows was this annoying

I will be living at a friends place for a week or so and I'm stuck with Windows here. Just because I forgot to burn a copy of Knoppix before I left today. Have to remember to do it tomorrow.
I have now tried several different SSH clients and have not yet found one with tabs. I hate having 1742 windows open. I want my tabs back!
So in protest to this I'm going to go watch TV instead..
